Soft and translucent with a limited palette allowed me to focus on large shapes and their edges. I like to use neutral colors for the quiet mystery they provide.

Thick paint, texture, and an extreme vertical composition was an interesting deviation from my normal techniques and format. Scraping through large amounts of acrylic paint, I was enthralled with how it imperfectly it covered the previous layer of paint...very intriguing and satisfying.
